In 2008, Sidcon delivered the very first underground compactor for plastic packaging to the Dutch waste collector Circulus. This innovative solution immediately demonstrated what was possible in the field of more efficient waste management. Not long after, the underground compactor for residual waste was introduced. In 2019, we expanded our range with a compactor specifically designed for paper and cardboard.
Since then, innovation hasn’t stopped. One of our developments is the underground compactor with a tipping system for wheeled bins. This solution enables the emptying of wheeled bins into an underground compactor, ideal for shops and hospitality businesses. The result? Fewer collection movements, lower CO₂ emissions, and more efficient use of public space.
Thanks to these and other innovations, our systems contribute to more sustainable waste policies in cities and municipalities. Compactors need to be emptied far less frequently and fewer containers are required to process the same amount of waste.
