Holiday park installs underground compactors

“The underground compactor is very practical and easy to use,” begins Jordy Melis, co-owner of Camping de Meerpaal in the Netherlands.

“We used to have wheelie bins for residual waste at the entrance, but we felt that this did not reflect the right image for our holiday park. In addition, we had to transport the containers across the holiday park to our central waste location several times a week. Not only did this take a lot of time, it was also very unpleasant for our guests. Now, during the high season, the compactor is emptied every other week without having to drive across the park.”

Efficient waste collection

Kevin Rotte, sales advisor at transport and container company Wielemaker, says, “It’s great to build the future together with the customer. Camping de Meerpaal asked us if there was an alternative way to collect residual waste. At Wielemaker, we were already familiar with Sidcon and the underground container from other projects, so we proposed this solution to De Meerpaal. Given the amount of waste produced and the limited space at the entrance, Sidcon’s underground compactor is ideal for more efficient collection! The containers are easy to use for both young and old campsite guests, and the attractive, sleek design with the Meerpaal logo completes the underground compactor!”

We are pleased to have been able to advise Camping de Meerpaal and wish them much convenience and satisfaction with their new waste solution.
