The underground compactor for commercial waste

Restaurants, hospitals and other businesses often generate large volumes of lightweight waste. Full waste bags containing packaging materials, cups and other commercial waste take up a great deal of space and require containers to be emptied frequently. The underground compactor removes the air from this waste, allowing significantly more material to fit inside the container. As a result, fewer collections are required, reducing transport movements and lowering collection costs.

Large loading opening for waste bags

The underground commercial compactor operates in the same way as our standard underground compactor. The only difference is the above-ground column. The compactor features a large loading opening, allowing employees to dispose of full waste bags quickly and easily. This makes the compactor particularly suitable for businesses that generate large volumes of bulky, lightweight waste on a daily basis.

Accessible only to authorised employees

Due to its large loading opening, the underground commercial compactor is intended exclusively for use by employees. The loading flap can only be opened using a personal access card, preventing unauthorised use.

Fewer collections and more space

A powerful screw removes the air from the waste and compacts the material inside the container. As a result, the underground commercial compactor offers 6 to 10 times the capacity of a standard underground container. This means the compactor requires fewer collections, reducing collection costs, limiting transport movements and lowering CO₂ emissions. At the same time, valuable space is freed up on site. Wheeled waste bins are no longer required, as waste is deposited directly underground and stored out of sight. This creates a cleaner and calmer environment while reducing the risk of overflowing containers, litter and unpleasant odours.

''Instead of emptying multiple wheelie bins once or twice a week, the underground compactor is collected only once every 4 to 5 weeks.''

Easy to integrate

The underground commercial compactor is available with various standard lifting systems and can be installed in an existing concrete pit. No special collection vehicles are required for emptying. The waste collector’s existing crane vehicle can continue to be used. This allows businesses to significantly increase their waste storage capacity without replacing their entire collection system. A smart solution for businesses looking to reduce collection frequency while making their waste collection more efficient, cleaner and more sustainable.
